    Here's what the first session actually feels like...

    Just scheduling your first therapy appointment is huge. Congratulations on showing up for yourself! We’ll treat therapy like a partnership, not me pretending to have all the answers.

    Our first meeting is about building trust and getting to know one another. We’ll start simple, you talk, I listen, and together we figure out what exactly what you want from this experience. I’ll ask about what made you want to come to therapy, you can ask anything back. We'll talk about what you want to change and ways you want to feel better. Then we will decide how we do that. Whether that’s EMDR, solution-focused work, or something else entirely!

    What it’s not:
    A stiff Q&A. Not just me nodding while you re-tell your toughest moments.

     

    What it is:

    A chance to feel understood and start believing change is possible.
