What to Expect
Just scheduling your first therapy appointment is huge! One of the most important factors in the therapy process is that you feel comfortable with your therapist. I believe therapy should be a partnership between the therapist and client and we will work that way from our first meeting.
The first session is for us to get to know each other. During this session, I will ask you some questions and invite you to do the same. We will go over your goals and the different paths we might take to reach them. I will also go into more detail about the types of therapy I practice, and we will begin to assess what may be right for you.
At the end of our session, if you feel like we are a good fit, we will schedule our next appointment and begin to formulate a plan to help you build upon your strengths and move towards your goals.
